PRIVACY POLICY
This is the Privacy Policy (“Policy”) of www.DEPDL.com, a web site (“Site”) used to access the State of Delaware’s short-term consumer loan (“payday loan”) database (“Database”) pursuant to 78 Del. Laws Ch. 278 (the “Act”).
The Site takes its responsibility of safeguarding your personal privacy very seriously; we are committed to maintaining the confidentiality and security of your personal information. We protect your personal information from loss or misuse through the use of industry-recognized security safeguards that meet or exceed federal requirements for information safety and security.
The Site is an on-line service of Veritec Solutions, LLC (“Veritec”) that allows Delaware licensed lenders offering payday loans (“Licensees”) to validate consumer eligibility pursuant to the Act, and regulations promulgated thereunder by the Delaware Office of the State Bank Commissioner (“OSBC”) and provide for the tracking of information regarding all such transactions. Veritec is a third party, privately held company under contract with the OSBC to provide the Database.
Privacy and security are our highest priority. Ensuring lawful electronic access to payday loan information while maintaining privacy is a guiding principle of our program. Personal data in our possession is maintained and used in ways that respect individual privacy. Veritec educates its employees about the importance of protecting personal information and privacy, and only authorized employees of Veritec and the OSBC have access to Borrower Identification Data (“BID”). The purpose of this Policy is to notify you:
1. That personally identifiable information is collected through the Site;
2. That Veritec is collecting this information;
3. How the information is used;
4. With whom the information may be shared;
5. The kind of security procedures that are in place to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of information under our control; and
6. That you can correct any inaccuracies in the information.

If you fill out the "Contact Us" form, your name and other identifying information will not be sold or shared with any person or organization, other than the OSBC. Your e-mail address or telephone number may be used by authorized Veritec employees to contact you concerning your comments, questions or complaints.
When a Licensee enters your BID into the database, we use the information to determine eligibility for a payday loan including rollovers pursuant to the Act. The results of the eligibility determination are furnished to the Licensee.
The information contained in the database is authorized by the Act. Your information and the results of the eligibility determination may also be used by the OSBC for purposes consistent with the Act laws of the State of Delaware.
We do not sell or rent information to third parties for marketing programs or for any other purpose other than that authorized under the Act.
When a Licensee presses the "Submit" button and the borrower’s information is provided to Veritec, Veritec will process the information through the Database and will return an appropriate response to the Licensee. The Site will also treat information sent indirectly (via either the IVR, interface, email, fax or phone) to Veritec by a Licensee in the same manner it treats information submitted directly through the Site.
The Site has security measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. Veritec uses the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol to safeguard your sensitive personal information during on-line transactions. Using this widely accepted form of encryption, your transaction is secured from a Licensee’s personal computer to the Veritec computers processing the request, and the processing computers are located behind a secure firewall. This method protects your information.
This notice should not be construed in any way as guaranteeing, or warranting as fail proof, the security of information exchanged between Licensees and Veritec. Any changes to this Policy will be communicated through the Site at least 30 days in advance of implementation. Information collected before changes are made will be secured according to the Policy in effect prior to the change.
This Site contains links to other sites. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our Site and to read the privacy statements of each and every web site that collects user information. This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by this Site.
A “cookie" is a piece of data stored on the user’s hard drive containing information about the user. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any BID while on our Site. Once users close their browsers, any cookie will cease operation. For instance, by setting a cookie on our Site, the user would not have to log in a password more than once, thereby saving time while on our Site. Users who reject the cookie may still use our Site, however. The only drawback to this is that the user will be limited in some areas of our Site.
